Hurricane Dorian threatens the entire Southeast coast. Tens of thousands (hundreds of thousands, more?) of Floridians and South Carolinians may be fleeing the threat of destruction.
AirBnB has a program … AirBnb Open Homes … with a mechanism to open your home and accept guests who have a real need. To their credit, AirBnB freely offer their online brokerage mechanism, 24/7 help line, and some liability insurance.
You must take people in for free … these are temporary guests, not renters … so it doesn’t conflict with our Condo Docs. Check out the AirBnB website and make your own calculation. If you can do it … great!!! The Stacks and the Board have your back!
If you have questions or if you connect and host visitors, please contact Dionne (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Vic (email@example.com) or Bruce at the Office and let us know. We may have ideas (which we will post as things evolve) about things we can do to make it easier on both hosts and guests.
… and if Dorian plays nice and stays offshore, in the words of Rosanna Danadana … “nevermind!” :-}
